With Nike taking over the NBA contract in 2017, they wanted to make a statement and honor Oakland, the hometown of the Warriors. Nike wanted to pay homage to “The Town,” as it’s endearingly referred to by bay area natives, by creating the alternative jerseys that highlight it. To showcase these jerseys, Nike also partnered with the Warriors and Good Tidings Foundation to renovate a basketball court in Oakland at Youth Uprising. Kurieo helped with staffing, printing of the posters and t-shirt for giveaways, and we captured every moment with photo and video. We especially loved being part of an event that gives back and brings joy to communities.
